Born from one entrepreneur’s passion for the Star Wars fandom, Saberzone is celebrating significant success – achieving a monthly average growth of 437% during Q2 of its very first year in business.

The eCommerce retailer, which stocks a wide range of high quality lightsabers, started as a bedroom-venture for Sunderland-based entrepreneur, Tom Webster.

Tom, who has a background in accountancy, has witnessed exponential growth and now oversees a team of 20 employees and contractors working to provide a premium shopping experience for fans of the franchise looking to buy quality combat lightsabers and replicas.

Saberzone’s original success came through well-targeted Facebook advertisements and an increase in digital spending during the Coronavirus lockdown.

Tom then reinvested his profits in developing the brand and launching a brand new website in August 2020, in a mission to provide an all-encompassing online experience for customers inspired by the franchise.

The new website was accompanied by the launch of Saberzone’s unique Power Battle Saber, which offers all of the features a more costly saber replica provides at a more affordable price for fans.

With a new online presence, unique products and dedicated supply chain, Saberzone now sells across the globe whilst offering UK-based customer service and order fulfilment. The company has also transitioned from Webster Cord Ltd to being fully registered as its own entity in Saberzone Ltd.

For Tom Webster, the success of his brand is simply an affirmation of his passion for the product. “I love Star Wars and to be selling to other fans is fantastic. When we started we were re-selling supplier products but quickly recognised the need for our own exclusive brand range so we could keep tight control over quality.”

As Saberzone continues to grow, the brand has launched a new, trademarked, ‘Saber Builder’ tool which allows cosplayers to create custom sabers – a unique offering on the market which is inspired by the recent video game, Jedi: Fallen Order.
