Geovanni Hood Launches Awareness Challenge Worldwide To Advocate For Sickle Cell Disease Carriers

High Point, NC – Awareness Challenge Worldwide (ACW) is a platform that partners with non-profit organizations to advocate for different causes and diseases worldwide. According to research, over 95% of the world’s population has health problems, with over a third having more than five ailments.

The relevance of a community for disease carriers cannot be overemphasized as it will provide a strong safe haven for advocacy. According to Geovanni Hood, Director of Awareness Challenge, “ACW is a platform that allows carriers of different diseases to come together within one community for advocacy. Asides from creating a platform for disease carriers, the platform also partners with non-profit organizations for fundraising opportunities that spread awareness to different causes.” The primary goal of the community is to make fundraising a light enjoyable experience. In Hood’s words, “We have decided to use our platform to be the voice for various non-profit organizations because we believe we can be stronger as one community instead of divided.”

Geovanni Hood, Director at Awareness Challenge Worldwide, also happens to be the founder of the organization. He revealed that being a carrier of sickle cell disease since birth inspired him to start the organization. Seeing how people like him suffered in silence and not having a platform to communicate their woes to society triggered the birth of Awareness Challenge Worldwide.

Organizations that therefore choose to participate in this challenge will be provided with an external link where iron on adhesive patches to support the organization’s cause can be ordered. Patches will be sold at $15 apiece and the participating organization will receive 50% of each purchase made with no overhead expenses. Each ribbon that will be sent out according to ACW, ‘is handmade with care.’ As a way of giving back to the world, Geovanni and his team are putting disease advocacy first.
