Wilson, North Carolina – February 04, 2022 – Bitcoin is a trillion dollar decentralized peer-to-peer digital currency and also considered digital property. Most importantly, it’s the new-age money and is projected to encompass a lion’s share of mainstream finance in the near future. North Carolina-based school, Wilson Preparatory Academy, has recently integrated a comprehensive and free open sourced Bitcoin course in its personal finance curriculum for high school students. This made Wilson Preparatory Academy the first high school in the United States to offer the full course to students, as a component of their personal finance course. 

Titled “Bitcoin For Everybody”, the course has been developed by renowned nonprofit organization Saylor Academy. Bitcoin For Everybody is a free on-demand online course that is flexible with the schedule of any school system. 

The Bitcoin For Everybody course covers the basics of cryptocurrency for beginners. Students taking the course will be able to develop sound ideas about all the major aspects of the new money, including Bitcoin economics, investment, philosophy, and history. Students will also receive insights on the technical and practical components of Bitcoin. After completing the course assignments, students will attain a basic level of know-how on the core functionality of Bitcoin investment compared to that of traditional bank investments, stocks, and bonds.

Bitcoin For Everybody is a certificated course. Students have to receive 70% grade on the final assessment, in order to earn the authenticated Saylor Academy certificate of achievement.

The course is divided into 5 learning units. The last unit of the course will guide the students with expert instructions on how to use Bitcoin in real life, covering topics like Bitcoin wallet, Lightning Network, security and privacy measures. Students will also receive guidance on avoiding usual Bitcoin mistakes, scams, and pitfalls. 

A major factor that makes Bitcoin a highly viable option over high-end investments such as real estate investments, is the requirement of limited capital. In the words of Major League Baseball star and crypto enthusiast C.J. Wilson-
