Romy-Dominique Youngquist, better known to her fans as CELEBRDY, is an artist who has found solace and purpose in music. Growing up in traumatic conditions as a child, she found comfort in creating and listening to music. She eventually fell in love with creating pieces that have a positive impact on people when they listen to them, evoking emotion and inspiring hope.
Her ambition is to build a genuine connection with her fans by sharing the same love of God that she has for Him. With each new song CELEBRDY releases, her message of joy and optimism shines through. Despite the barriers life threw at her, Romy-Dominique persevered and used her talent to craft songs that bring joy into the lives of those who listen. Her music allowed her to heal from past traumas while also finding purpose in bringing joy into the world through genuine artistry.
An exemplary student throughout school, CELEBRDY won several scholarships and competitions. A poem she wrote for a school competition earned her the first prize and $50 check. Her poem is still used in schools to this day. She has been featured in Africa’s largest magazine, Life Magazine, as well as Ivory Coast’s largest rap media. Her debut album is on radio rotation and she has made it on the charts. Her debut single, ‘Until My Last Breath’ is rising fast on prestigious charts like Mediabase Top 40 Activator Chart, New Music Weekly (NMW) Hot 100 Chart, and the UP & Coming on NMW AC / HOT AC Chart among several others.
Her proudest achievement is the following comment by Jerry Martin, music composer of the Sim’s video games and the former Music Director of EA Games™ about her singing abilities: “CELEBRDY has the perfect pitch and her tone is amazing!”
